If I were AP and had gotten myself into the mess then all I would think of is the next game. There are things we can control and things we cannot. We cannot control what goes on off the pitch but on it the manager can to an extent. AP has to think of a way to negate a buoyant QPR and in Harry's words the new Di Canio (Taarabt). We need to get back to basics and become hard to break down and keep clean sheets. That was our strength. We know BA is going to score. But whats the use of him scoring if we are letting in goals at the other end. I agree on Jonas and made another thread on it. I feel he should be dropped for Marvo. We all know the problem. For those who don't then here it is. BA and Cisse cannot play alognside each other. They are too similar and make the same runs and get in each others way. AP should of gone back to what worked for him and stick BA on the left. But he didn't and now it is impossible because BA is banging in the goals and is demanding a new contract. So only option is to stick Cisse on the left and that won't work because Cisse can't play on the left. The alarming stat of the weekend was that BA and Cisse scored only once in a game together and that was against Villa when Cisse made his dream debut. That tells the story and drives home my point of the two not being able to play together. Agree with most of yer post 99. However, 43 Lindisfarne hits the nail on the heed when he posted " We cannot see out a season with only 11 "purples"" If Cashley and Lambsarse cannot see the error of not strengthening in the Summer, then all the crap they have spouted about wanting the team to do well goes out the bloody window!!! Lose against QPR and we are in deep doggy-do...........Pardew will have to do more than just cancel the team Christmas party FFS!!

One thing that fry's my a*s is when lazy forwards are caught offsides. I played the forward position for 4 years in college and never was caught off sides, not once! When Ba scored against City he had got back onsides. When Colo played the ball back into the box his back was to the goal so he really didn't know were the ball was going. Had it gone to Cisse' it would have been offside cause he assumed the play was over and his was walking back. Luckily Colo's ball went towards Ba, who was back onsides, and Ba scored. The offside rule is so simple all you have to do is pay attention and make sure you are equal with a defender. When the play is over run not WALK FFS back to an onside position. Cisse's play is poor right now and reflected by situations like this. The gaffer needs to point him out or sit him down and play someone that respects the positions and the shirt he wears.

Totally agree with those comments Broon. Cisse's game is overall poor at this moment in time. And I can never fathom strikers and attacking mid's being offside especially when they are looking across the line! I never had the problem of being offside as I mostly played on the wing hugging the touchline (chalk on my boots). I hate to see the modern day winger cut in!

right again 99. Wingers need to stay wide. How many crosses go over they're heads cause they are in the box? It is far easier to run towards the ball than backwards when the cross is long.
