Middlesbrough play the winner of Harrogate/Hastings at home in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Nice easy one that.

Fierce derby at Selhurst Park for the Seagulls! I would love it if we beat them! Love it! I know from ex work colleagues that support the South Londoners there is a fierce rivalry, however why is this considered a derby? Would have thought a Club based on the South Coast would have considered Portsmouth, Bournemouth or Southampton as main adversaries on the derby front. As for Palace why not another London Club? WL

WL The Palace - Brighton rivalry is surely an intriguing one as most of football's great rivalries involve clubs thrown together either by geography – Arsenal and Tottenham, say, or Dundee United and, er, Dundee – or by years of high-profile, high-intensity competition for the game's biggest prizes – which explains Liverpool's ongoing ding-dong with Manchester United, or Real Madrid's with Barcelona. The rivalry between Crystal Palace and Brighton falls into neither of those categories. The clubs are 45 miles apart! If anything this tells you how much either side hates the other. It was the rivalry between Palace manager Terry Venables and Brighton manager Alan Mullery, two ex-Tottenham team-mates, and now leading two clubs both with similar ambitions. The constant fight for the title in 1976 and events at Stamford Bridge over Brian Horton having to retake a penalty did nothing to lessen the already growing rivalry. That has grown over the years and turned into what we have a derby now. The fact that palace hate Brighton more than Millwall says it all....
