Two great games in the six nations yesterday with Italy taking most of the plaudits in a thrilling and historical 22 - 21 win against the French in Rome.
Later in the day Wales triumphed at the Millenium Stadium against the Irish 19 - 13 although not without some controversy over the winning try.
Today England take on Scotland at Twickenham in the Calcutta Cup game.
Newcastle Falcons booked their place in the final of the LV= Cup with a 21-20 victory over Harlequins at the Stoop thanks to a last-gasp try from Tane Tu'ipulotu
The Tongan centre finishing off the last play of the match to break Quins hearts while also ending their 12-match winning run on home soil.
Despite Tu'ipulotu grabbing the headlines for his try, it was a man-of-the-match performance from fly-half Jimmy Gopperth which made the victory possible.
The Newcastle number 10 finishing the match with 16 points after another near-flawless kicking display, and a try to boot.
The Quins were leading 13-6 at half-time. They dominated territory and possession for almost the entire game and looked to have done enough when Mike Brown's 70th-minute put them ahead.
However, Newcastle refused to surrender and reached the final of this competition for a seventh time thanks to Tu'ipulotu's try at the death.
Falcons who have won this competition in 1976, 1977, 2001 and 2004, will play either Gloucester or Newport-Gwent Dragons in the final.
England took the hounours in the Calcutta Cup game this afternoon, but only just with a 22 -16 victory. This means they remain on course for the Grand Slam, however they were far from convincing against the Scots at times today.
The final three games in this seasons Six Nations were completed today.
Ireland took the honours in Dublin early evening at the Aviva Stadium running out 24 - 8 victors against England to deny them the Grand Slam. England did however win the Six Nations title as Wales fell to the French.
In the second of this evenings games France took the runners up spot with their 28 - 9 victory over the Welsh in Paris at the Stade de France.
This afternoon Scotland avoided the wooden spoon coming out on top 21 - 8 against Italy at Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
